Seth B. Dove, Jr., 57, of Riverton, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Timberline Campground in Goodfield, IL. Seth was born November 12, 1958 in Riverside, CA, the son of Seth B. and Betty Baumgartner Dove, Sr. He married Deborah Jo Harris on September 5, 1997 in Springfield. Seth was a 1976 graduate of Springfield High School. He later attended Lake Land Community College earning an HVAC Certification. He worked for the Street Department at the City of Springfield and was a Stationary Engineer for the State of Illinois for 39 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Springfield. He loved Harleys and riding motorcycles, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Dove of Riverton; and niece, Jennifer Marie Black. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Celebration of Life: Family will host a Celebration of Life from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the VFW Northenders Post 10302, 2349 Stockyards Rd., Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
