Shari was born on January 13, 1963 in Springfield, the daughter of William Earl and Shirley B. Zink Owens. She married Timothy Carroll on August 8, 1992 in Springfield.
Shari attended Lincoln Land Community College and worked in retail and part-time at a daycare. She loved going to museums, movies, and had interest in history and politics.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Byron K. Owens.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy of Springfield; mother, Shirley Owens of Taylorville; son, Jason Chance of Charleston; daughter, Megan Carroll of Springfield; sisters, Sarah J. (Karl) Bockemeier of Maryland Heights, MO and Crystal D. (Jeff) Gagler of Oak Lawn; one niece, Mina Bockemeier; and one nephew, Nathaniel Bockemeier.
Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Old Salem Cemetery with Rev. Charles Goodman officiating.
