Sharon was born in Owaneco, IL, September 2, 1944 the daughter of John H. and Margaret A. (Osborn) Speagle. She married Ronald Lee Cagle, and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandsons, Ronnie and Eric, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
She began her career with Horace Mann Insurance Co. She then became a case worker assistant for the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Sharon then joined Brother James court, and worked at the Weber House before finishing her career at Memorial Medical Center after 8 years of service. She was a Fietchens School volunteer and a member of Hope Church.
Sharon loved going for drives around the lake, watching deer, and enjoyed watching the Game Show Network. She cherished special times with her friends, especially playing BINGO with friends at Timberlake. Sharon loved watching True Crime shows, Starbucks and getting her nails done. She loved her family and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her 4 children: Brett E. Cagle, of Kincaid, IL, Jon (wife Susan) Cagle of Springfield, Jill (husband Harold) Cagle Livingston, of Kincaid, and Kyle Cagle of Springfield, her grandchildren; Melissa (husband Carl) Keehn of Springfield, Michael (wife Abbie) Cagle of Sherman, IL and Katie (husband Tyler) Ely, of Springfield, and Joseph Wyatt of Noblesville, IN, her sister, Gloria Shadowens of Trenton, GA, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to a visitation Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield from 9:00 am until the time of services at 10:30 am. Pastor Beth Yokley will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services. Private inurnment will be in Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg, IL.
