Sharon L. Carrino

Sharon was born on November 12, 1938, in Springfield, the daughter of Lee and Mary E. (Gentile) Baldoni.

Sharon graduated from St. Patrick’s Grade School and Sacred Heart Academy. After raising her children, she worked for the Sangamon County Treasurer’s Office in real estate taxes and later for CMS in the recruitment department. Sharon was an advocate for SPARC. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and watercolor painting.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Joseph Carrino; daughter, Mary Jo Carrino; and brother, Robert R. Baldoni.

She is survived by her sons, William Carrino of Springfield and Michael Carrino of Auburn; grandchildren, Larry, David, Morgan and Joseph; one nephew; and several cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:30 a.m. with The Very Rev. Christopher House officiating. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
