Sharon Kay Phillips

Sharon was born December 11, 1946, in Springfield, the daughter of John H. Sr. and Mary Jane Bostic Sargent. She married Edward Phillips, Sr. on April 3, 1965, at Clementine Church in Springfield, IL.

Sharon was employed at Springfield Imaging for 27 years. She enjoyed going dancing with her husband and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edward Phillips, Jr.; brothers, Gary, George, and John Sargent, Jr; and sisters, Mary Ethel Graves and Connie Harden.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Edward Phillips, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Nancy Phillips of Pawnee; grandchildren, Stephanie (Joshua) Stewart of Virden, Kirsten Kuykendall of Springfield, and Sabra Kuykendall of Chicago; great-grandson, Jackson Stewart; siblings, JoAnn (Charles) Rowden, Judith (Ronald) Brest, and Joyce Sargent, all of Springfield; brother-in-law, Larry Harden of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Phillips of Springfield, Judy (Vern) Smith of Kilbourne, IL, and Rose Sargent of Portland, OR; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Jack and Cheryl Cummings and their daughter, Rhonda, all of Loami.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A private family burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
