Sheryl Ellen Bosie

Sheryl was born October 5, 1949, in Urbana, the daughter of Joseph Frederick and Oka Ellen Lovingfoss. She married Daniel Edward Bosie on March 29, 2000, in Las Vegas, NV.

Sheryl graduated from Champaign Senior High School and earned her master’s degree in Art Education from Eastern Illinois University. She was employed at Memorial Medical Center for 39 years, first as a medical illustrator and later as a data analyst. Sheryl loved to travel with Danny and enjoyed taking trips on their motorcycle. She also loved spending her winters with Danny and friends at Granada Lakes in Fort Myers, FL. Sheryl was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Lovingfoss; and her beloved dog, Lucy.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Daniel Bosie of Springfield; daughter, Abby Flatt (husband, Drew) of Chatham and their daughter, Anna Flatt; stepson, Jeremy Bosie of Springfield; sister, Phyllis Overman (husband, Dennis, deceased) of Champaign; and numerous other extended family members from the Bosie family.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Ceremony and Gathering: 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. A memorial gathering will follow until 7:30 p.m.
