

Shirley Fisherkeller, 89, of Springfield, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. John's Hospital. Shirley was born November 10, 1924 in Springfield, the daughter of Jay and Elizabeth Douglas Beck. She married Ted Budberg on April 25, 1943 and they were divorced. She married Lawrence Fisherkeller on May 19, 1985 at Woodside Methodist Church; he preceded her in death on December 7, 2005. Shirley was a graduate of Lanphier High School and received her LPN certification in 1974. She was employed by Sangamo Electric, B&F Toggery and Memorial Medical Center. Shirley was a member of American Legion Aux 8 and 40, Elks Club, Grasshopper Golf League, Motor Boat Club, and was a red coat volunteer for Memorial Medical Center for ten years Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Becky (husband, the late Don) Langen of Litchfield and Connie (husband, Randy) Budberg-Speck of Springfield; step-daughter, Susan Fisherkeller, DVM of Springfield; step-son, John Fisherkeller of Springfield; grandchildren, Doug Langen of Litchfield, Scott Langen of Portland, OR, and Jennifer Langen of Litchfield; siblings, Zane (wife, Alice) Beck of Springfield, Donald (wife, Marcia) Beck of Seattle, WA, Bob (wife, Ree) Beck of Mansfield, MO, and Janet (husband, Jack) Chrans of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:30 until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Woodside United Methodist Church, 3519 Sheffield Rd., Springfield with Rev.
