Stella Warrington, 95, of Springfield, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Regency Care. Stella was born January 13, 1920 in St. Mary's City, Maryland, the daughter of Frank and Barbara Baranek Gasperec. She married Richard C. Warrington, Sr. on July 27, 1946 in Chicago. Richard preceded her in death in 1993. Stella was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, and was an excellent cook. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Edward and Joseph Gasperec; and two sisters, Mildred Bloom and Agnes Okleshen. She is survived by her son Richard (Cindy) Warrington, Jr. of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Chapel, 6001 W. 111st St., Alsip with Rev. Anthony Pizzo officiating.
