Stephen D Bertelli

He was born in Springfield, November 22, 1938, the son of Frank and Alberta (Powers) Bertelli. His parents and a brother, Randall Bertelli preceded him in death.

Stephen retired as a millwright with Olin Chemical in Joliet, IL. A motorcycle enthusiast, he owned several motorcycles through the years and in his youth, he raced them. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. Later in life, he was an accomplished sailor. He enjoyed piloting his sailboat around Lake Springfield and participating in many Regattas. He was a member of Island Bay Yacht Club, and enjoyed the fellowship and activities there. Stephen was also a member of the Abe Lincoln Gun Club.

Surviving is his son, Steven V. (wife Kenna) Bertelli Sr. of Loami, IL, his four grandchildren: Steven V. Bertelli Jr., of Texas, Justin Martin Bertelli of Loami, IL Teresa Marie Bertelli of Quincy, IL and Brandi Jo. Bertelli of St. Louis, MO., his great grandson, Ellis Hudson Bertelli, his daughter-in-law, Jordan Bertelli, of Quincy, IL his sister, Patricia Bertelli of Colorado, one niece and one nephew.

Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL where family and friends are invited to a visitation, Monday, July 13, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am till 10:15 am. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 am with Pastor Ken Gennicks officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Springfield.
