Steven J. Boll

Steven J. Boll, 65, of Springfield, died at 2:44 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Argenta, IL. Steven was born May 11, 1952, in Quincy, the son of Elmer J. and Elizabeth "Betty" Winking Boll. He married Carlene Kemner on July 26, 1975. Steven owned and worked at Resource Video Consultants, and was subcontracted for the PBS station in Springfield. He also worked as an engineer for Sinclair Broadcasting for 39 years. Steven was a member of Little Flower Church, Elks Lodge, and Hamm Radio Club. He enjoyed woodworking, watching Sacred Heart-Griffin football, cooking, yardwork, and visiting with friends at restaurants. Steven was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carlene Boll of Springfield; children, Tim Boll, Stephanie (Jerome) Kellerman, Gretchen Kemner, and Bridget (Aharon) Losoff; grandchildren, Nicholas and Eric Kellerman; siblings, Jeffrey and Tom Boll, Sharon (Dennis) Lisenbee, Kathy Boll, and Beth (Rick) Barlow; and a large extended family. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Little Flower Church, 800 Stevenson Drive, Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Little Flower Church with Rev. Braden Maher, celebrant. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
