Steven G Burkhart

He was born in Springfield on August 25, 1954, the son of Clarence Q. and Norma J. (Gordon) Burkhart. Steven married Nola “Kay” Head in Springfield on August 9, 1975.

Steven graduated from Griffin High School with the class of 1972. He went on to work for Brahler Tire and Auto Center for almost 30 years before retiring in the 90s. Steven enjoyed and spent almost 20 years with the Prairie Art Association. In his spare time, Steven found joy tending to his lawn, gardening flowers, building model ships and airplanes, and taking photos, especially for weddings, nature, and family. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steven is survived by his wife, Kay; sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Burkhart of Riverton and Nolan (Tara) Burkhart of Springfield; grandchildren, Nolan II, Emma, Max, Ashlynn, and Everlee Burkhart; and siblings, Linda (John) Loftus, Quinton (Pam) Burkhart, and Todd (Heather) Burkhart.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private graveside service will be held.
