She was born on August 18, 1938, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Kress) Cadigan.
Susan graduated from Ursuline Academy and earned her associate degree from Springfield College in Illinois. She spent her whole career in banking, working at INB, First of America, PNC, and Security Bank. She enjoyed taking trips with her senior clients through the various banks she worked at. Susan was a member of Cathedral Parish. She loved her family, David Muir, Seinfeld, and telling stories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Patrick and Daniel Cadigan.
Susan is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret (Peggy) and Patricia (Patty) Cadigan, both of Springfield; niece, Shannon White (fiancé Mark Elston); nephews, Joe (Erin Gromen) of New Jersey, Andy (Erin Bishop) of Maine, and Patrick Cadigan of Springfield; and great-nephews, Blake and Ben White and Ivan and Rhys Cadigan.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery, with Deacon Larry Smith officiating.
