Terry Allen Baird

Terry Allen Baird, 66, of Springfield, formerly of Chatham, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was born September 7, 1951 in Shelbyville, Il to the late William Joseph and Veneda Louise Iles. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sonja Butler, granddaughter, Susan Baird, and step brother, Kenneth Tull. He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a design coordinator after 25 years of service. He will be greatly missed by his son William Trevor Baird of Chatham; former wife of 44 years, Marla Baird of Chatham; grandson Will Baird of Chatham; step mother, Roma Baird of Shelbyville; brother, Randy (Marcy) Baird of Shelbyville; step brothers, Sam (Pam) Tull of Shelbyville, Doug Tull of Dallas, TX; step sister, Gayla (Todd) Stirewalt of Highland, IL; step sister-in-law, Chris Tull of Carmel, IN, and many friends. His family will greet friends from 9am until the time of the funeral at 11am Monday, March 12, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 1225 North Main Street, Chatham, IL, 62629, with Rev. Clarence Rogers III officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church in Chatham. Terry had been very active at church in the past as an Elder and Trustee.
