Terry Bilyeu

Terry L. Bilyeu, 69, of Springfield, passed away at 5:33 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Terry was born on February 21, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Earl Herman and Mary Louise Harney Bilyeu. He married Ruth Ann Glasgow on October 5, 1968 in New Berlin. Terry was a 1966 graduate of New Berlin High School. He served his county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Terry was employed by Illinois Bell/AT&T for more than 40 years. Terry was a member of the VFW Post 755, the American Legion, and the DAV. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Craig Bilyeu. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Bilyeu of Springfield; three children, Bryce (Melinda) Bilyeu and Ryan (Sarah Conlon) Bilyeu, all of Springfield, and Bethany (Andrew Casey) Bilyeu of Anderson, CA; six grandchildren, Brooks, August, Annabelle, Wyatt and Graysen Bilyeu, and Sawyer Casey; his mother, Mary Harney Bilyeu; and six siblings, Pam (Terry) Eberhardt, Bruce (Leta) Bilyeu, Kevin (Mary) Bilyeu, Rodney (Aida) Bilyeu, Lisa Hill, and Melissa Bilyeu. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the VFW Post 755, 2211 Old Jacksonville Rd., Springfield. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
