Tessie Krimmel

Tessie Krimmel, 79, of Springfield, died on Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. John's Hospital. Tessie was born March 25, 1929 in Springfield, the daughter of A. Dewey and Theresa Nelch Parnell. She married Albert W. Krimmel, who preceded her in death in 1980. Tessie was employed as a housekeeping aid at Memorial Medical Center for over twenty-five years until her retirement. She will be remembered as a loving woman who cared very much for her family. Tessie enjoyed playing Bingo and being with her friends at the Illinois Presbyterian Home. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Neva Sauer and brother, LaSalle Parnell. She is survived by three sons, Rickie, Kevin (wife, Kaye), and Darrel (wife, Jody) Krimmel all of Springfield; six grandchildren; a brother, George Parnell of Springfield; and a step-sister, Delores Cleeton of Springfield. Family will receive friends from 9:00 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremonies will follow visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Sandi Woodard, CLP officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
