Theodore Anthony "Ted" Sheppard

Theodore Anthony “Ted” Sheppard, 58, of New Berlin, died at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at his residence. Ted was born January 4, 1948 in Springfield, the son of Ruth Marie Sheppard. Ted graduated from Franklin High School in 1966 and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Agriculture from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was a self-employed farmer and in the last two years also an insurance salesman. Ted belonged to Franklin Baptist Church. Ted was a friendly, generous man. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and his Angus and Hereford cattle. He is survived by his mother: Ruth Marie Bess of New Berlin; one sister: Frances (husband, Norman) Casson of New Berlin; two brothers: Robert (wife, Kathy) Sheppard of Franklin, and Charles Lee Kissick of Alexander; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; two nieces, and two nephews; and special friends: Shirley Lomelino, Mike Clayton, Bill Lowder, Rev. Leonard Pinney, and Rev. Warren Brosi. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Franklin Baptist Church, the corner of East and West Streets in Franklin, IL with Pastor Leonard Pinney and Rev.
