Thomas "Tom" Wesley Perkinton

Tom was born on June 6, 1940, in Springfield, the son of Clifford and Merle (Anderson) Perkinton. He married Sharon on September 1, 1995 in Springfield.

Tom retired from the post office, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Kelly West, and Walter Surgis III; several grandchildren; and siblings, Joseph (Linda) Perkinton, and Mary Perkinton.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Elm Street Christian Church, 3020 E. Elm St., Springfield, IL 62702. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Holley and Mike Cox officiating. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
