He was born in Milwaukee, WI July 14, 1957, the son of Charles W. and Carol J. (Snow) Talbert. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Sherri L. Bell July 7, 1979, and she preceded him in death July 5, 2020. His parents also preceded him in death.
Tim was a Data Base Administrator for various agencies with the State of Illinois. He retired in 2015 from Central Management Services. He also taught COBOL at Lincoln Land Community College
He was an owner and devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, even attending when the Packers played in London in 2022. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan and had fun with his daughter bantering back and forth as she was a Cardinal fan. Tim and Sherri were everything Disney. They made many trips to Disney World and were part of D23, the official Disney Fan Club. He enjoyed Star Trek and Star Wars and even has a full cosplay costume as Darth Vader, based on his deep voice and tall stature. Tim also enjoyed motorcycles and sports cars. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America and ABATE. He has attended West Side Christian Church with his family. Tim was embracing travel, with trips to Europe, Hawaii, and the West Coast. He was excited about planning trips to Central Europe and to take his Mustang out on a test track.
Surviving are his daughter, Jessica Talbert of Madison, WI, his beloved cat, Sophie, his sister, Sue Ann (David) Hoffman of Lebanon, PA, and his brother, Michael (Sally) Talbert of Bloomington, IL, his brother and sister in law, Kevin and Diane Bell of Chatham. There are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL where family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 pm-6:30 pm Thursday, May 22, 2025 and where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 23, 2025 with Pastor Mike Harney officiating.
Cremation Rites will be accorded following the service. Private inurnment will be held in Chatham Cemetery with his wife.
