

Tom Ealey, Jr., 38, of Springfield, died at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Tom was born September 9, 1972 in Springfield, the son of Thomas, Sr. and Helen Parker Ealey. Tom had worked for Maverick Steak House as a cook and was also a security officer. He proudly served our country in the Army. Tom enjoyed drawing eagles and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Viola Ealey; maternal grandparents, John and Helen Parker; and two uncles, John and Jim Parker. He is survived by his parents, Helen and Tom Ealey, Sr. of Springfield; his daughter, Katie Elizabeth Ealey of Springfield; three brothers, Wayne Sexton of Springfield, Jeff (Kathy) Sexton of New Berlin, and Tim (Nancy) Ealey of Chatham; three sisters, Brenda Schrader and Kathy (Darrel) Thaxton, both of Springfield, and Lisa (Stan) McKenzie of Redfield, AR; two aunts, Mary Hughes of Springfield and Hazel Ealey of Buffalo; one uncle, Sam Ealey of Buffalo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin, with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating. Burial will follow at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin. Memorial contributions may be made to Berlin Christian Church, 2580 S.
