He was born on November 27, 1980, in Springfield, the son of Kirby and Lori (Griffitts) Simmering.
Tyler graduated from Riverton High School. He went on to work for IBEW, Viper Coal Mine, and as an operator for Local Union #965. Tyler was a member of Bloomington’s Vale Church. He was also involved with mine rescue while employed at the coal mine. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and friends, karaoke, and making people laugh. Tyler was known as caring, resilient, hard-working, loving, selfless, and was always full of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Tyler is survived by his daughter, Emmalee Jo Cooper and her mother, Jessie Cooper, both of Williamsville, IL; Allison Anderson and bonus son, Jett Winebrinner, both of Elkhart, IL; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who played a huge part in his life; and beloved dogs, Leo and Frankie.
Private family services will be held. A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held at a later date.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
