Victoria L. Drum

She was born in Columbus, OH, on January 30, 1956, the daughter of Joseph and Mettie (Thomas) Schmidt. Vicky married Philip Drum on May 14, 1996.

Vicky’s commitment to the community was most clearly seen through her involvement with the American Legion, serving as past president of Unit 32, officer of 21st District, and was an American Legion auxiliary advisor. She participated in the color guard and was a member of 40/8 La Femme Cabanne 344. In her spare time, Vicky enjoyed home remodeling, interior design, fishing, camping trips, and watching NASCAR. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Schmidt; mother, Mettie Funk; stepmother, Dorothy Schmidt; sister, Cindy Vick and grandparents.

Vicky is survived by her husband, Philip; son, Robert (Jennifer) Sager; daughters, Robin (Jeremiah) Sager, Tiffany Drum-Stanton, and Cynthia (William) Hill; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph R. (Bobbie Jo) Schmidt and step-brother, Gary O’Brocto; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Family will host a Celebration of Life for Vicky from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at VFW 10302, 2349 Stockyard Rd., Springfield.
