

Vincent Catalano, 69, of Springfield passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on July 25, 1932 in Springfield, Illinois the son of Salvatore and Marie Folisi Catalano. Mr. Catalano was a tile setter and terrazzo worker for George S. Grimmett & Company. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Joseph and Gyuseppe. Surviving are two sisters: Mary Nolan and Jody (husband, Frank) Poetcher both of Springfield; two brothers: Carlo (wife; Jenny) and Louis Catalano both of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 26, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend William Kessler officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors.
