Virgil Ray Neal

He was born on August 27, 1918 in Benton, IL, the son of the late Ray and Cecil (Cleveland) Neal. He married Edith P. Bays on November 27, 1937 in Evansville, IN and she survives.

Mr. Neal retired from Bunn-O-Matic as a personnel director. He had also worked as a terminal manager for both Scherer and Hayes Freight Lines.

He is survived by a son Albert R. (wife Brenda) Neal of Springfield, a daughter Linda L. Sacco of Sherman, IL, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and a sister Dorothy J. Gosser of Queen City, MO.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Gladys M. Subic, and a son-in-law James J. Sacco.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm. Graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10 am at Old Salem Cemetery, with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating.
