Virginia Lee Caswell

Virginia was born on April 24, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of Ralph and Bernice Swalley Burtle.

Virginia retired from Lehn & Fink and was also a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, John, David, and James Burtle.

Virginia is survived by her special person, Ted Sims; son, Randy (Teri) Tangman of Taylorville; daughters, Lynette Venable of Petersburg, Carla Bandy of Petersburg, Becky (Kenny) Murray of Springfield, and Sandy (Kenny) Strode of Wellington, FL; stepdaughter, Madonna (Mac) McKenzie of Windsor, MO; grandchildren, Heidi Henry, Nicole (Aaron) Payne, Bart (Terra) Grafton, Kayla (Chris) Brown, Kassandra and Blake Venable, Luke Bandy, Ashli (Patrick) Lewis, Colton, Connor, and Camryn Strode, and Miya Berube; great-grandchildren, Courtney (Matt) Green, Tanner and Aiden Brown, Walker Venable, Ashlyn Henry, Maylee and Logan Payne, Evann, Hannah, Lily, Abigail, and Shelby Lewis, and Tre, Jacob, and Katelynn Berube; brother, Charles Burtle of Golden Valley, AZ; and sisters, Jean Fluckey of Springfield, and Judy Follis of Oblong, IL.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Rettig officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
