Virginia D. Sansegraw, 95, of Rochester, passed away on November 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born on March 16, 1926 in St. Louis to Asa and Nannie Johnson. Virginia married Elza Sansegraw in St. Louis and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Sansegraw is survived by two daughters: Rebecca (fiancé Robert Elberg) Kraisser of Rochester and Anita Hines of St. Louis, nine grandchildren: Johnnie Kraisser, Nic Kraisser, Charlie Kraisser-Elberg, Carson Elberg, Roni Kraisser-Elberg, Nyah Hines, Noah Hines, Nyko Calvert and Grace Parks and one great-granddaughter Catalina Kraisser. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law KC Kraisser and one brother Wayland Johnson.
Virginia worked as a secretary for the Federal Government in St. Louis for forty years retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Fourth Baptist Church in St. Louis where she was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher and she attended Hope Church in St. Louis and Rochester Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Wednesday at Bisch and Son. A graveside service will be held at 12:45pm on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
