

He was born on October 8, 1945, in Quincy, IL, the son of William C. and Betty L. (Wolkitt) Angell. Bill married Kathy Kuhlman on April 23, 1966, in Quincy.
Bill graduated from Quincy High School in 1963 and earned his bachelor’s degree from Quincy College in 1972. He proudly served his country in U.S. Navy, aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Intrepid during the Vietnam Era. Bill went on to own and operate Angell Accounting in Havana, IL. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the VFW, and American Legion, and was a former member of Ducks Unlimited. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing wallyball, was a big fan of Illini basketball, and loved Disney World and Florida. He was known to do anything for his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brian Angell; parents; and sister, Candy Foote.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Angell of Springfield; daughter, Stacey Angell of Havana, IL; sister, Marsha Angell of Richmond, TX; beloved dog, Sir William; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, with Fr. Troy Niemerg officiating and military honors provided by IVBDSC and Navy DOD.
