William R. "Bill" Howerton, 82, of Athens, died at 2:52 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at his home. Bill was born September 10, 1930 in MO. He married Doris Mendenhall; she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters. Bill was a truck driver. He is survived by one sister, Karen (Don) Proske; two daughters, Sharon Robinson and Kathryn Farmer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Athens Christian Church, with Casey McCormick officiating.
