Willis G. Davidsmeier

He was born on November 28, 1938, in Mechanicsburg, IL, the son of William H. and Alice F. (Davis) Davidsmeier. Willis married Patricia Bowman on December 8, 1956, in Bowling Green, MO.

Willis was a successful business owner of Ford Printing for over 50 years. He was a member of Bonita Beach Association in Florida. Willis enjoyed spending time in Florida, bowling, horse racing, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all Willie loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Russell and Donald Davidsmeier; sisters, Dorris Waters and Shirley Black; daughter, Deborah Diaz; and granddaughter, Tiffany Souers.

Willis is survived by his wife, Patricia Davidsmeier of Springfield; daughters, Brenda (Mickey) Bell of Delray, FL and Kimberly Davidsmeier-Elliott of Springfield; grandchildren, Jenni Diaz, Heather (Carl) Chase, Brandon (Sofia) Diaz, Trevor (Shruti) Souers, Brianna (Kevin) Liberman, Riley, Kailey, and Alexandra Elliott; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Adam, and Paisley; siblings, Barbara (Jim) Thomas of Springfield, and Kenneth (Sherri) Davidsmeier of Florida; sister-in-law, Sarah Katherine Davidsmeier; and brother-in-law, Bob Black.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center, prior to services.

Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield, followed by the Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Eddie Lowen officiating.
