Winifred Louise Stephens, age 44, died in Centralia, Illinois, Saturday, August 12, 2006. She was born in Springfield August 31, 1961, the daughter of Harvey Bennett and Judith George Stephens. Since 1975 she had been a resident of Murray Developmental Center, Centralia, where she had many friends and received exceptional care. She attended Kaskaskia Workshop. She is survived by her parents Harvey and Judy Stephens, Springfield; her brothers Harvey M. and his wife Mary Beth of Springfield, Scott Stephens and his wife Kristin of Weymouth, Massachusetts; nephews Bennett and Weston Stephens, Springfield; and her grandmother Virginia George Collins, Concord, New Hampshire. Graveside services were held at Oak Ridge Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Clifford Hayes.
