Carole was born on August 18, 1931, in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Young; her parents; and one sister.
Carole is survived by her daughters, Melinda (husband, Bruce) Mavis of Pleasant Plains, and Cynthia (significant other, Steve Dykema) Young of Springfield; grandchildren, Lauryn (husband, Marcus) McGlasson of Pleasant Plains, and Amanda (husband, Mitch Parrish) Mavis of Springfield; and great-grandchildren, Everett and Garrett McGlasson, and Zuri and Leni Parrish.
Private family services were held.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
