Yvette "Chica" Castilleja

Yvette “Chica” Castilleja, 45, of Springfield, died at 5:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on August 10, 1960, in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of Martin and Olivia Patlan Castilleja. She worked as a caretaker for the elderly and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Chica was a strong willed, and determined lady with a great sense of humor, who will be remembered for her giving and selfless nature and dedication to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by one brother: Leonard Castilleja. She is survived by two sons: Leonard M. Castilleja of Austin, TX and Dominic M. Bartolini of Lytle, TX; her parents Martin Castilleja of Catarina, TX and Olivia Castilleja of Lytle, TX; four sisters: Debra Rodriguez of Steger, IL, twin sister Yvonne Cantu of Springfield, IL; Beatrice (husband, David) Van Heel of Oak Forest, IL and Angela (husband, Jason Crouch) Castilleja of Austin, TX; one brother: Robert (wife, Frances) Castilleja of Kailua, HI; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Grace Baptist Church, 2812 S. Walnut, Springfield, with Rev. Richard Brady and Rev. David Brady officiating. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield after the Funeral Service.
