Dear Betty and family,

I remember your mother well from many years ago. I am so very sorry for your loss.  I remember her as a beautiful and kind lady. I know how hard and sad this time is for the family. Take consolation in God's unchanging word. God's words and prayers and  time will give you peace. Just know that if there is ever anything I can I will. I love you all and God bless you.

My family lived across the street from "Ms. Jenkins" for several years...on Mound Street. She was a wonderful lady with a beautiful garden in her front yard. I remember the pretty yellow yarrow in her garden. And she was as pretty inside and outside as her flowers.  Looking at her flowers inspired me to start a garden of my own that I continue to this day.

Helen - I just discovered that you lost your mother.  You have my sympathy. I am not sure if you remember me; however, I am Joyce Speakes. I live in Westerville. I can be reached online - marispeak@aol.com if you would like to contact me.  I would be glad to hear from you.

I want to light a candle for a REAL woman. When someone was hungry, cold, or needed shelter....you feed them, gave them a coat, and opened your home. I have seen first hand how to take care of and show love to my family. Thank you for your love and life lessons. Rest now...we love you your grandchildren

I am sorry for your lost. May God bless you and keep you close to his heart during your time of mourning. Stay strong and know that your mother is with God and she is oh so very HAPPY! To you Aunt Betty your love and care of your mother was shown everytime I seen the two of you together.  You always had a smile when you talked about her and your father.  Your family like ours is close and the loss is big.  You will do fine because you have your family as well as your extended family there for you.  The loss will never go away it leaves a void but the memories will always help to make that void not so hard to take.  I love you and will always be thankful you was such a big part of my life.  I know it is hard right now but things will get better.

To my first cousin and the Eldest grandchild of Chappel and Mary Riggins, I will always remember and love you, I think about you, Margie and Ruby, when I was growing up, you three made time for the family often, with dinners, parties and going to each others houses every weekend, you all made sure that the family stayed connected...I think about you every memorial day for the last 42 years...I wake and think, I know where Rosa lee was on this day, may 30th 1971, you were at work taking your break in the afternoon, and I had just got out of the car, in the back of city hospital, springfield, ohio... and I hear this voice say, alright "you" go and have your baby and I will be up to see you, you came up to see me, on that day and every day until I went home, I will always think about you as long as I live!!! thank you for loving me, thank you for your legacy, for the Grand children of Chappel and Mary Riggins ,you have always showed that you loved your family."you will alway remain in my heart
