Aletha B. "Lee" Herz, age 74, a resident of Springfield, VA, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on May 2, 2011 after a courageous battle with endometrial cancer. She was an Administrative Assistant for IBM. She is survived by her loving husband, William J. "Mike" Herz; two daughters, Elizabeth Anne Via (David), Valerie Marie Smith (Richard) and son, Michael David Herz (Ellen); sister, Ann Todd (Warren); six grandchildren, Brian Andress, Meghan Smith, Denise Via, Allison Smith, Dorothy Smith and John Herz. Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, VA. Funeral Service will be Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11am at Demaine Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mark Memorial Garden, Vienna, VA.
