....words are not merely enough to express my gratitude....i have fond and precious memories of us with u since i was a child....you were our doctor whenever me and brod's tonsillitis persist...and even just going to your home makes us feel well even without the prescribed medicine...you are a healer for us....you and my family had long history of friendship...precious friendship.we are like family.i saw the bond between u and my mother....u always visited us esp.after tatay died just to assure us that we have you in that time of sorrow and sadness...according to nanay u almost became my ninang in my baptismal....but u were in the US..and i made a joke out of it...i told u "siguro nong makita mo na pangit ako eh nag back out ka" and u laughed endlessly with that joke...u are more than my ninang coz u are like a family to me...we have our high and lows...we have the pros and cons in many issues....we used to eat breakfast together after the first mass during sundays..and the most precious ones were when nanay was hospitalized...u helped me a lot with the many important decisions...even arguing with the doctors...the same thing when tatay was hospitalized before..you were so sad and broken when nanay died...i knew then how much u love her..and i said to myself...how i am gonna thank u enough with those helps....i and my siblings will be forever indebted to u..i was so shocked when i heard the news..i just cant believe that you are gone.but i have to accept the reality..it was just painful.i always pray that God always keep u in His care together with tatay and nanay...i am very sure that the three of u are having fun....i love you and i know u knew and felt it...

Dear Tita Alice,

Just like your classic style of never wanting any special attention you left us so suddenly.  I can never thank you enough for being a mother to me and my brothers Eric and Adrian when mama passed away.  You always cared and looked after our welfare.  I am saddened by your sudden passing but i am consoled by the thought that you are now in the arms of the Lord God our Creator.

Thank you for being such a great Lola. Thank you for all of the gifts that you brought me from the Philippines especially the clothes. Whenever you came over to our house I always looked forward to when you cooked varieties of Filipino food because it always tasted delicious. I am sorry that you had to go so soon but I know you went to Heaven and everything will be okay. I miss you and will always love you.

Dear Tita Alice,

We wanted to thank you for everything that you have done and given to us.  Though we may not say this often, we still wanted you to know that we love you.  Ike always remember and share to us his happy memories in Chicago with his cousins. :)  He would say that, "  Si Tita Alice ang nagdala sa amin sa Chicago.  Siya ang nag-ayos ng papers namin".  He was so greateful and thankful to you.  And we know how you would go out of your way just to fulfill others hopes and dreams: your scholars in Siain, people who would knock on your door to ask for help even in the wee hours of the morning.  We will miss you Tita Alice. We love you and will always remember you.
