Augusto was born in Cebu City, Philippines to Basilio Fernando and Marieta Lejano on August 29, 1930. He married Monina Yllana Fernando on May 20, 1964 in Quezon City, Philippines. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas from the School of Architecture in Manila, Philippines. He founded his own architecture firm and worked as an architect for nearly three decades.
Augusto is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Monina Yllana Fernando, who passed on December 31, 2017.
Augusto is survived by his son, Augusto Jr., and his three daughters, Luisa Raneses, Rhodora Fernando, and Rita Minteer, their respective spouses Anthony Raneses and Michael Minteer, and his four grandchildren: Nina Raneses, Ethan Raneses, Sophia Minteer and Mason Minteer.
A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7 at Demaine Funeral Home.
