It is hard to express in words the sorrow that Gayla and I feel in your loss.  Ben was the essence of a "good" man and the smartest person I've ever known.  We will miss his wit and humor.  Our loss is Heaven's gain.

I worked with Ben from 2004 to 2012.  Many of us admired Ben's courage and determination in the face of his daily struggle.  He contributed to the security of our nation throughout and I am proud to have served along side him.  He was an inspiration and to me was a living example of Lk 9:23, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

Dear Maureen, we were sad to learn about Ben's passing. We know that you will miss him terribly but that your faith and family will give you solace. We would be there for the service if we could.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in prayers and thoughts.  The pictures are lovely and really capture how much Ben contributed to his family, wife, community and country. The world is a better place because of him.

I went from 3rd grade to 12th grade with Ben at Santa Clara in Oxnard, Calif. He is where the turn 'Nice Guy" came from. Sorry for his family's loss.

I can still see Butch climbing up into the avocado tree on Granny Pfeiler's front lawn, to retrieve a stuck football one Sunday afternoon in the early 1960s.

Maureen, the love and support that you gave him can never be forgotten.
