Betty met her husband, Chris, in 1969 and they were married in December 1970. They enjoyed many happy years together. Her employment gave her the opportunity to travel the United States and Canada. She was bit with the travel bug and visited Europe and the Caribbean. The adventures she cherished the most were the annual trips with her life long friends affectionately referred to as the W-L girls. In June of 2010 Betty rescued a puppy, Bryn Lare (the goodest boy).
