Born on December 24, 1952, in Simsbury, Connecticut, Brian lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to others, and a deep commitment to his work and community.
After serving in the United States Navy and attending Post University, Brian began a long and successful career that spanned several decades. He worked for The Phoenix Companies in Hartford, Connecticut, and later for Acacia Life in Washington, D.C., where he built a reputation for integrity and professionalism. For the past 20 years, he was a valued member of the team at Print Mail Communications in Fredericksburg, VA. Known as a hard worker and a fair and caring boss, Brian earned the admiration of both employees and clients alike. His leadership style was defined by kindness and respect—qualities that made him not only effective but beloved.
Family was at the heart of everything Brian did. He is survived by his 2 children. His son Ryan Emmons and his wife Jaclyn, his daughter Ashley (Emmons) Alexander and her husband Kenneth; and five cherished grandchildren: Emily Emmons, Madison Emmons, Siena Emmons, Dominic Alexander, and Isabel Alexander. He also leaves behind his brothers Ray Emmons and his wife Kathy, Steve Emmons and his wife Pamela, and Art Emmons as well as his sisters Patricia Sansone and Martha Cotterell and her husband Richard.

Outside of work and family life, Brian found joy in simple pleasures—spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him immense happiness. He loved gardening, volunteering his time to help others, attending sporting events and concerts, and sharing laughter with those around him. His big smile, twinkling eyes, and infectious laughter lit up every room he entered.
Those who knew Brian will remember him as one of the kindest souls they ever met—a generous friend to those in need, an extraordinary father and grandfather, a respected colleague, and a man whose warmth left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
