It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of a wonderful husband, father, and Papa. A man whose presence brought strength, warmth, and kindness to everyone around him.
His greatest love was his wife, Susan Seward, with whom he shared 36 beautiful years of marriage. Their relationship was built on deep devotion, and a partnership that only grew stronger with time. Together, they created a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering support through every season. He cherished Susan not only as his wife, but as his closest companion and best friend. Whether in everyday moments or life’s biggest milestones, their bond was always evident. It was a love rooted in loyalty, respect, and genuine affection. The life they built together stands as a lasting testament to a love that was steady, enduring, and truly remarkable.
He was a proud and devoted father to his three loving daughters, Amelia, Hillary, and Rebecca, who were the center of his world. Each of them brought him immense joy, and he cherished watching them grow into the remarkable women they are today. He offered them guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love, celebrating their successes and standing beside them through every challenge. His bond with his daughters was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and quiet moments of pride that spoke louder than words. He was the kind of man who showed his love not only through words, but through quiet acts of care, steady support, and an unending amount of dad-jokes. They will forever carry his love in their hearts, along with the lessons, strength, and compassion he so gently instilled in them.
He found a special kind of joy in being a “Papa” to his grandchildren, Jax and Mackenna. At just six years old, Jax brought energy, curiosity, and countless smiles into his life, while four-year-old Mackenna filled his heart with sweetness and laughter. He cherished every moment spent with them whether playing trains, sharing barbie stories, or simply enjoying their presence. His love for them was pure and effortless, and being their Papa was one of the roles he held closest to his heart.
He shared a special bond with his son-in-law, James, built on mutual respect and shared passions. Together, they spent meaningful time enjoying two of his favorite things—smoking meats and music—passing along both knowledge and appreciation with patience and pride. Whether standing by the smoker or listening to a favorite song, these moments reflected not just hobbies, but a genuine connection and friendship that meant a great deal to him.
He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion for ten years. During that time, he built lasting friendships and found a strong sense of camaraderie among those who shared his values of service, loyalty, and support for others. He took pride in being part of something larger than himself, always willing to lend a hand and contribute where he could. The connection he felt within this group brought him both purpose and joy, and the friendships he formed there remained an important and cherished part of his life.
Chuck is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Tommy and Sue Seward. Chuck is also survived by his sister Susie and husband Doug Campbell.
