

Born in Wayne, Nebraska to Bill & Claire Mossman on April 10, 1947, Craig is a 1965 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School.
Following his October 20, 1979 marriage to Claudia Carter Mossman, Craig co-owned and operated Alan Massie Studios from 1980 - 1989. He then attended and graduated, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Computer Sciences from Northern Virginia Community College. After college, Craig balanced his work as a professional data analyst at CSC/DXC with teaching guitar at Music & Arts, to continue sharing his love and appreciation of music with dedicated students.
Prior to his marriage, Craig proudly put his extraordinary guitar skills to work, performing live as the lead guitarist in several well-known local bands to include The Roaches, The Loved Ones, High Country, and The Sensations.
Craig is preceded in death by his father, Bill Mossman & his mother, Claire Mossman. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Claudia Mossman, son Christopher Mossman, daughter Allison Mossman,
sister Kay Johnson, and grandchildren Shannon Brock and Frankie Mossman.
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA, 22151. At 12:00 o.m., Father Patrick Holroyd (who officiated Craig and Claudia’s marriage), will lead the memorial service. The burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032.
