A great family man, neighbor, friend, and person will be missed by many. We shared a lot of laughs, parties, food, and wine (among other liquids). Dan made the world a better place to live in. Heaven has welcomed a truly good guy.

Dan's salutation when answering the phone always brought a smile to my face.

Pat and the boys:

Dan got me back to the ship more times than I can count...it's in my Flight Log. He used to tease me -- "Ivan, did you hear, we've been extended..." and "Remember: G-d, Country, Navy, Family, Wife, self. "

I wish he were extended now. A great pilot, a great squadronmate, a great friend, not a great bridge player (Bunky and I beat him and Bob Lutz after 13 hours one long night in Cubi when they wouldn't let us stop). RIP. V.R.
