David Lee Foltz Sr.

On Sunday, February 10, 2013, at the age of 82, David Lee Foltz, Sr. of Falls Church, VA passed away suddenly at the Washington, DC Veterans Medical Center. Known to his family and friends as "Dave" he was preceded in death by his loving parents the late Luther M. and Mary L. (Sis) Foltz of Arlington, VA; his late brothers, Nolan and Babe and sister, Dorothy Thacker. He is survived by his brother, Alvin H. Foltz of Arlington, VA and sister, Margaret L. Via of Winchester, VA.

He was a devoted father to his daughters, Ruth, Donna, Patricia, Pamela and son David Jr., and his late daughter Susan Marie and former wife Mary Lou. In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 1976 in Annandale, VA. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy., Manassas, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David Lee Foltz, Sr. may be made to A Kindred Spirits memorial gift to the Humane Society of the United States.
