

On June 10, 2016, Dolores Maria Davis, 68, passed away in her home in Springfield, Virginia. She is survived by her son, Alexander Kyle Davis, and his partner, Rachel Marie Ledebuhr; her dogs, Ranger, Yankee, and Doodle; and her cats, Deano, Tangi, O’Malley, Jersey, Princeton, Hackensack, Hoboken, and Trenton.
In addition to being an incredible mother and friend, Dolores will be remembered as an indefatigable volunteer and room mother at Queen of Apostles Catholic School; band booster for the Thomas Jefferson Marching Colonials; decade-plus front office telephone volunteer and coordinator for TJHSST; manager extraordinaire and customer service award-winner over her many decades with Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and several DC-area small businesses; and beloved telecommunications specialist with the Library of Congress.
A memorial service and mass will be held in her honor at the Church of the Nativity in Burke, Virginia on June 22, 2016 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dolores’s name to 4Paws Rescue Team in Merrifield, Virginia or a local nonprofit animal rescue of your choosing.
