Dung Thi Young

Beloved mother and wife, Dung “Linh” Thi Young, of Springfield, Virginia passed on December 20, 2012. Born in 1950 in Vietnam to Van Huu Tran and Thi Luot Don and was the youngest of four siblings, Linh is survived by her second husband, Phat Ha and their son, Sean. She is also survived by her eldest daughter, Julie Mayer, her son in-law, Brien, and her granddaughter, Jayde.

For over twenty years, Linh was the proprietor of Great Wall Billiards in Springfield. Linh was a strong, independent, and kind-hearted. She enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughter. She liked nice cars, shopping, and watching television.

Linh enjoyed family traditions. Every Friday, she made dinner where her children gathered to eat, talk, and play games. Other traditions included: Saturday calls with Sean; Red Lobster for birthday dinners; marathon Black Friday shopping with the girls; Christmas Eve dinner with her delicious egg rolls.

Linh “found great happiness in insignificant details”. She will be greatly missed by many.
