Bill was a graduate of Marshall University, a member of Sigma Psi Epsilon fraternity, & was affectionately known as "Dwarf" or "E Willy" by all who knew & loved him at Marshall. He was a staunch supporter of the Alumni Club, & all things sports related of the "Thundering Herd". Bill also went on to become a very successful soccer coach of the 1972 Springfield Spirit Girls' team that went on to win the U-16 & the U-19 US National Championships.
He initially retired at age 65 from the Dept. of Justice, Office of the Inspector General, but continued to work at home on contract work as a Senior Policy Advisor until after the Covid epidemic subsided in 2023 at the age of 86.
Bill was a vital & enthusiastic member at both of his Assisted Living facilities, organizing & volunteering for "anything" that he could be a part of. He was known as the "Rollator Roadrunner" for his speedy fly-bys in every corner of the building! Bill was the best man I have ever known, & he will be forever loved & forever missed. I hope you have a bright red Rollator up in Heaven too, because no one will EVER be able to catch you now!
