

Edie was a Girl Scout leader and camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, member of the Easter Star, Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star and volunteer to many charities throughout her life.
Her true passion was politics and she had a deep and lengthy career in local and state Republican politics that included

Edith was preceded in death by her spouse Donald Nelson Stratton; her daughter Donna Lou Stratton Kendall.
Edith is survived by her daughter Kimberly Stratton Hodge (Richard).
She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Krista Bodz, Aaron (Emily) Arnold, Lauren Arnold Peacock, Nathan Hodge, Grant Hodge and Matt Hodge. Her Great-grandchildren: Mark Stratton Arnold, Peter Vance Hodge and Clara Loraine Hodge. Her Sister: Juanita Brown and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Edith will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151 with a Funeral Service starting at 12:00 PM following with a Reception from 1:00-3:00pm
