Preceded in death by his beloved wife Genevieve, Edward was the caring father of Allston, Leslie, Susan, and David; dear grandfather of Karen, Nancy, and Natalie; and great-grandfather of 5.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II, the civil service for 35 years, and was an active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Springfield for over 40 years.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday, December 10 from 6-8 pm at the Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield. A service to celebrate Edward’s life will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 10 am at the St. John’s UMC, Springfield. Interment with military honors to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
