Buddy and I were Paramedic partners at Sta. 6 on Medic 76. He was a lot of fun to work with . He had a good sense of humor. He was also a good medic.

Buddy Turner was the Best of the Best! I first met him in 2010 at The Waters Edge carshow in Occuquan, VA.
He said that's a really nice car you have for such a young guy, and I laughed, as I told him how old I was and my car was a gift to myself for surviving in Iraq for 7 months in 2009. He paused for a second, and said you deserve it and thank you for your service to our country. He also said I should win a trophy but I didn't that show, and from that day on every time we did a carshow together, and my car was parked next to his, I would win a trophy and that was the only reason, because I was parked next to his! LOL Additionally, he always busted your chops, but treated and made you always feel better about yourself, and like family! The funniest thing he always used to say was that his car was faster than mine and he would beat me in a race, but would never race me. I'm glad I never did as I would have let him win, just so he would have something else to bust my chops about! That is how much I loved and cared about him, as he was like a second Dad to me. He will never be forgotten by me, and he and his family will always be in a special place in my heart, and considered family!

There are so many funny and wonderful memories to share, so it's hard to pick just one! Buddy was an awesome, warm, generous, and FUNNY guy! From the moment I met him, he reminded me so much of my own dad. His crazy sense of humor could brighten the darkest day. While a bright star is no longer shining here amongst us, his memories and the many lives he touched will forever live in our hearts! RIP, until we meet again!
