

Florence C. Wynn, 92, passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at her home in Annandale, Virginia. She was born in White Plains, New York. Florence is survived by her 97-year-old sister, Blanche LeMan Newton; nephew William S. Newton and wife Cathleen O'Donnell; niece, Audrey L. Newton; stepson, Robert J. Wynn, Jr. and wife Adela Wynn. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 23 years Robert J. Wynn, Sr. (2000) and both of her beloved daughters, Sandra L. Morrison (2003) and Cynthia D. Simmons (2018), who are survived by their husbands, Peter A. Morrison and Robert Simmons, respectively.
Florence (Flossie, Floss or Flo) was a kind, caring, vibrant and strong woman who raised her daughters by herself with the support of her mother, Florence C. LeMan in Washington, D.C.
She had a successful career working in the disbursing office of the U.S. Senate until she retired in 1981. She retired again just shy of her 90th birthday from Heritage Court Condominium's management office.
Florence was the caregiver of family and friends, an avid golfer, traveler, photographer, and artist/crafter. Her love of life and inquisitive nature enabled her to see and enjoy the small things in life and, more importantly, family and friends - a lesson to us all!
She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Rest in peace and happiness.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Demaine Funeral Home Chapel, 5308 Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA.
