Fred C Staats

Fred was predeceased by his parents Howard and Gladys Staats.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of Annandale, VA; daughter Stacey (Matt Burke) of Fairfax, VA; son Fred H.(MK Miller) of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl; sister Sandra (Roy dec.) Pierpoint of Manassas, VA; nephews Gary, Todd and Scott Pierpoint and their families; and grandchildren Emma, Claire and Mary Burke of Fairfax, VA and Shelby Fields of Arvada, CO.

Fred retired from the PG County, MD school system where he was a Teacher of the Year recipient as an elementary school teacher before serving as an administrator. In retirement, he continued to enjoy hunting, fishing, golf and youth sports. He was an avid dog lover. His sense of humor will be missed.

As was his request, the family will hold private funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to either the Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org) or Scholarship America (www.scholarshipamerica.org).
